Top supercar racers from Thailand will battle it out against rivals in the TSS The Super Series by B-Quik at the Sepang circuit from September 6-8.
The Thais are competing in four classes in the event, which is organized by Racing Spirit Co. They are Supercar GTC, Supercar GT4, Supercar GTM and Supercar GT3.
While the races were dominated by home drivers during the previous leg, it also highlighted a good number of up-and-coming drivers taking part in the TSS The Super Series by B-Quik, organizer Racing Spirit Co stated in a press release.
In the GTC event, all eyes are on the drivers Manat Kulapanont and Akrapong Akaneenirot who will be competing in the Toyota Supras built by Toyota Gazoo Racing Thailand.
Attention also goes to the CRE-Lanotec-Luqui Moly Racing with driver Damien Hamilton behind the wheel of a Ford Mustang and most importantly, will be driving for the first time at Sepang.
In the GT4, the spotlight is on winners of the fifth leg – local driver Hayden Haikal who is paired up with Aussie Peter Hackett in a Mercedes-AMG GT4 from Racing Aurora.
Wing Hin Motorsports are also represented by Malays consisting of Amer Harris Jefry and Muhammad Naquib Nor Azian in a Toyota Supra GR GT4. With three cars in the race, 2W Zoomies is fully prepared with Supras driven by Haruhisa Urabe/Nanin Inpayoong and Andrew Adulwijit/Kajorn Jearwanont, while Prakhun Phornprapha/Warren Adulwijit will be driving a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS.
In the GTM Class, PSC Motorsport’s Saravuth Sethithoranakul/Afiq Yazid, who recently clinched victory in a fifth-leg breathtaker in a Lamborghini Super Trofeo Evo, will defend against Naddhavudh Charoensukawattana, driving a Lexus RCF GTM for Toyota Gazoo Racing Thailand.
In the GT3 Class with championship leaders Chun Hua Chen/Jesse Krohn from Team AAI in a BMW M4 GT3. They will be pressured by B-Quik Absolute Racing drivers Henk Kiks/Markus Winkelhock in an Audi R8.
But other Thai drivers are also in contention, such as Piti Bhirombhakdi/Kantasak Kusiri and Voravuth Bhirombhakdi/Carlo Van Dam all driving Honda NSX GT3 race cars.
