Changan Automobile is revving up its portfolio expansion strategy in Thailand with the planned introduction of two new models.
On October 21, the Chinese automaker showcased the new Deepal S07 and the Deepal Hunter K50 REEV Max AWD to the Thai media, and also brought along the AVATR 11 Royal Edition.

The S07 is priced at Bt1,219,000 with an early bird offer of Bt1,099,000, while the Hunter hybrid is priced at Bt1,249.000. Pricing of the AVATR 11 will be announced close to its launch in November.
Changan offers a wide range of models covering many segments and plans to introduce seven new models during the next three years, according to Shen Xinghua, managing director of Changan Auto Southeast Asia Co Ltd and Changan Auto Sales (Thailand) Co Ltd.

“As Thailand is a key pillar in Changan’s Southeast Asia roadmap, today marks an important milestone of our journey in this country,” he said. “The company has invested over Bt10 billion to establish its first manufacturing facility outside China, located in Rayong. This regional production hub serves Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and has generated more than 20,000 jobs across the entire supply chain.”
Shen said over 90 per cent of Changan’s workforce in Thailand are Thai nationals, and the company sources over 60 per cent of its parts and components locally, with plans to increase this figure to 80 per cent by 2030.
“Changan is preparing to export the first batch of over 1,000 Deepal S05 units — proudly manufactured in Thailand — to Europe by the end of this year,” Shen added. “This initiative not only generates national revenue and attracts foreign investment but also reflects Changan’s decision to position Thailand as a regional hub for electric vehicle manufacturing. It is a strategic step toward driving Thailand’s economy and society forward in harmony, with sustainability at its core.”

Changan plans to expand its dealership network to 200 locations covering every province in the country, and build a robust ecosystem for NEVs (New Energy Vehicles).
The Chinese automaker has an ambitious goal to become one of the top three brands in Thailand in terms of sales within 2030.
According to Changan, the new S07 features an advanced LFP battery, enabling fast charging from 30-80 per cent in 15 minutes. A European-style suspension setup enhances ride comfort and handling precision, while new wheel styling and subtle exterior design changes signal a fresh design evolution.

The Hunter K50 REEV max AWD, meanwhile, introduces a bold exterior and enhanced functionality tailored for adventure and utility. This edition features upgraded design elements including roof rails, roof sport lights, a multifunctional tailgate, sport bar, steel underbody cover and front-rear differential locks.

Inside, the black headliner and new black-orange interior color scheme add a sporty, premium feel. The V2L system is upgraded to support DC 22 kW output, offering greater flexibility for power-sharing on the go.
The AVATR 11 Royal Edition features a dual-motor AWD system and a suspension equipped with high-tech Magnetorheological Dampers, delivering millisecond-level damping adjustments for precise handling and exceptional comfort.

The dual-tone grey and black exterior is accented by a silver starline beltline, while 22-inch heptagram starburst forged wheels add sculptural dynamism.
The cabin features four VIP seats, including a rear lounge equipped with a floating armrest, 8-point massage functions, and a 50W wireless charging system with touch-panel control.
“We’re not only manufacturing and selling world-class electric vehicles — we’re also building local capabilities and supporting Thailand’s ambition to become the regional EV manufacturing hub,” Shen said.
“With more model choices and growing customer acceptance, we strongly believe Changan will be one of the key players supporting Thailand’s EV Policy ‘30@30’. The launch of these two premium EV models reflects our confidence in the market potential and our commitment to bringing the latest automotive technologies to Thai consumers.”
