The annual Thailand International Motor Expo kicks off today at IMPACT Challenger with more than 40 car brands from nine countries taking part.
The slogan for this year’s event, which goes on until December 10, is “Innovative Spirit…Futuristic Vehicles”, according to organizer Kwanchai Paphatphong.
Auto brands taking part this year include Aion, Audi, Avatr, BMW, BYD, Deepal, Denza, Ford, Foton, Geely, Great Wall Motor, Honda, Hyundai, Isuzu, Jaecoo, Jeep, Juneyao, Kia, King Long, Leapmotor, Lexus, Maserati, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, MG, Mini, Mitsubishi, Neta, Nissan, Omoda, Peugeot, Pocco, Porsche, Riddara, Suzuki, Tesla, Toyota, Volvo, Wuling, XPeng and Zeekr.
There’s a few concept cars this year starting off with the Changan P201, which is a pickup truck with a range extender allowing it to cover more 1,000kms (CLTC).
The Chery Fengyun E05 is sedan concept featuring high-level intelligent driving system and two drivetrains — pure electric or with range extender.
Finally it’s the Chery iCar X25, a futuristic SUV powered by BEV and REEV electric power, has large wheels on all four corners, a protective plate under the front bumper and high ground clearance for rugged use.
Among the new models being introduced this year include the BYD Sealion 7, Geely EX5 EV, Lotus Chapman Bespoke, Aion V, Nissan Serena (C27), MG IM6 EV and XPeng X9 electric MPV. Other attractions include the Toyota Camry, Honda HR-V minor change, Hyundai Palisade, Mercedes-Benz G-Class Electric, BMW X3, Audi Q6 electric, Lotus Emeya R, Porsche Taycan Turbo GT, Isuzu D-MAX 2.2, Mazda BT-50 minor change, Toyota GR Corolla, Kia EV-5 GT and Volvo EX90.
There’s also a large number of motorcycle brands including AJ EV, Alpha Volantis, BMW Motorrad, Deco, EM Motor, Felo, Hanway, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, Lambretta, NIU, Rapid,Royal Alloy, Royal Enfield, Solar, Strom, Suzuki, Triumph, Yamaha, Zeeho and Zontes.
