Mitsubishi has officially launched the Xpander HEV which is the hybrid variant of its popular 7-seater mini MPV.
The Xpander HEV featured in this video is priced at Bt912,000 while the range-topping Xpander Cross HEV retails at Bt946,000.
While the non-hybrid Xpander powered by the regular 1.5-liter engine is produced in Indonesia, production of the hybrid variants is taking place in Thailand due to the high demand for electrified vehicles in the Kingdom, according to Mitsubishi Motors Thailand.
The Xpander HEV gets a newly-developed 1.6-liter MIVEC engine developing 95hp that serves mostly as a range extender while the electric motor is capable of producing 116hp and 255Nm.
Highlights include updated exterior design, 7 drive modes (five terrain modes and two EV modes), Active Yaw Control (AYC), upgraded suspension, 17-inch alloy wheels, disc brakes all-round, 8-inch digital driver display, electronic gearshift lever and new multi-function steering wheel.
