MG will launch the new IM6 Premium Long Range at the upcoming Big Motor Sale 2025 at BITEC on August 22.
Introduced as a sub-model, the IM6 Premium Long Range boasts a hefty 100kWh 875-volt battery that’s compatible with 396kW rapid chargers. It enables the car to cover up to 750kms NEDC on a single charge.

The electric motor driving the rear wheels can produce 407hp and 500Nm, offering quick acceleration off the line – 5.4 secs from 0-100km/h with a top speed of 235km/h. The IM6 runs on a double wishbone front suspension mated to a multi-link independent rear suspension.
Apart from various auto park and auto reverse modes, there are also unique features such as the crabwalk mode, utilizing the intelligent four-wheel steering to assist moving vehicle out of limited space.
One Touch iAD comprises of assistance systems namely One Touch Side Parking, One Touch Escape, and One Touch Reverse allowing easy side parking, parking in limited space as well as automatic reversing when hitting dead end.

Da Shen Shen, president of SAIC Motor-CP Co recently took part in the IM6 test drive event in Thailand.
“This is an IM6 sub-model that comes with full-fledged intelligent features that promise driving confidence and longest driving range in class. My participation in the test drive is not only a proof of performance but also spells the company’s confidence throughout the journey.”

He said the long-range variant respond to consumers who are looking for a better driving range per charge as well as peace of mind regarding electrical components.

Featuring MG’s curvy “Gentle Sculpture” design concept, the IM6 has a body length of 4,904mm, width of 1,988mm and height of 1,669mm, while the wheelbase is 2,950mm long. The luggage compartment has a capacity of 596 liters, which grows to 1,640 liters with folded seats.
A panoramic glass roof opens up the cockpit, which features a large amount of soft-touch materials. There are also 26.3-inch driver display (dual touchscreen) and a 10.5-in center touch screen with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.

Both front seats are electrically-powered, and there’s a 256-golor ambient lighting system plus 20-speaker sound system.
There are nice gadgets like five magnetic hubs inside the cabin allowing for attachment of accessories like lamps, mirrors, etc.
