The Thai Rent A Car Group is expecting to generate up to Bt600 million in circulation after joining hands with Enterprise Mobility in opening three new car rent services in Thailand.
The three brands are Enterprise Rent A Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car.
Sukhum Thammaneewong, CEO of Thai Rent a Car, said, “Although the Thai automobile market is facing a crisis with sales dropping by more than 20 per cent during the first half of 2024, Thai Rent A Car saw sales surging by 15 percent. This is due to a larger number of consumers deciding to rent, rather than purchase, vehicles, as well as 17 million tourists that visited the country during the first half of the year.
“With a large number of tourists coming from the US and Europe, we decided to join hands with Enterprise Mobility, which has 9,500 branches in over 100 countries,” he said, adding that the three brands are well known to foreign visitors who can directly reserve vehicles from their homes.
The move is expected to boost revenue for the Group by 30 percent to Bt1.5 billion in 2025, as well as generate up to Bt600 million for the economy from tourists.
Enterprise Rent A Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car will be located alongside Thai Rent A Car outlets in 10 venues countrywide.
Apart from the car rental business, Thai Rent A Car Group is also involved in distributors Audi Thailand and Ducati Thailand, Mercedes-Benz Star Flag dealership, Car Hero used cars, RYDEKART electric bicycle startup, Epon Golf and Audacity Bangkok Marketing Agency. The Group had a revenue of Bt1 billion last year.
