Hyundai has introduced the Palisade SUV in Thailand, priced from Bt2,299,000 to Bt2,499,000 for the 2WD and AWD variants respectively.
Featured in this video is the 2WD variant, which shares the 2.2-liter turbo diesel engine with its AWD sibling. The powerplant pumps out 197 horsepower and 440Nm and is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The Palisade boasts a high-luxury interior, coming with a large amount of soft-touch areas while front- and second-row seats come with heating and cooling functions.
Hyundai hopes that the large dimensions of the Palisade will help attract customers who want a roomy SUV with high comfort levels.
The Palisade has a length of 4,995mm and is 1,975mm wide while the wheelbase is 2,900mm long, and is comparable to large European SUVs in terms of cabin space.
In terms of luggage capacity, there is 311 liters with all seats up, 704 liters with third row folded, and 2,447 liters with both the second and third rows folded.
Interior highlights include a 12.3-inch touchscreen, 12-speaker Infinity audio system, push type gearshift selector with paddle shift, overhead air vents for second- and third-row passengers, and lots of storage spaces around the cabin.
