The Bridgestone Turanza 6 has been selected as the OEM tire for the recently-launched MG S5 EV.
According to a press release from Thai Bridgestone Co Ltd, the Turanza 6 is a new premium comfort benchmark tire featuring the company’s “ENLITEN” technology, which is a combination of multiple cutting-edge technologies targeted at exceptional driving performance while reducing environmental impact.
Bridgestone says the ENLITEN technology enables reduction in weight and rolling resistance, suitable for all types of vehicles, including electric vehicles. This not only minimizes environmental impact but also maintains superior driving performance and safety.
The 215/55 R18 Turanza 6 fitted in the MG S5 is UN R117-04 certified and has been specifically developed to enhance the energy efficiency of the NEW MG S5 EV, by reducing energy consumption per charge.
Additionally, it is designed to work seamlessly with a 5-Link Suspension system, improving road grip across various surfaces, especially on wet surfaces. The tire also helps reduce noise and enhances ride comfort, further optimizing MG’s One Pedal system, making vehicle control easier and more convenient for drivers.

The MG S5 enters the market and sets a new standard in the electric B-SUV segment with its key highlights: “Fun to drive, Long range, Fast charging, Comfortable ride with Lifetime warranty”.
The S5 features a “Dynamic Rear Wheel Drive” system with the electric motor in the range-topping V variant generating a maximum power of 245 horsepower and 350Nm of torque. Precise control is provided through a dual-pinion steering system.
The McPherson strut front suspension and 5-Link rear suspension, specially tuned for optimal performance, enhance road grip, reduce vibrations during driving, and ensure sharp cornering even at high speeds.
Additionally, it comes with a lifetime warranty on the high-voltage battery, ensuring long-term reliability.
