Mitsubishi has unveiled specifications and pricing of the top Triton pickup truck variants, which will be officially launched at the upcoming Thailand International Motor Expo next month.
According to distributor Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co Ltd, retail pricing of the Triton Double Cab 4WD Automatic will start at Bt1,228,000, with deliveries to commence in early December. Meanwhile, the Triton Athlete will start at approximately Bt1,130,000 (US$31,830) for the 2WD version and Bt1,300,000 (US$36,617) for the 4WD version, with deliveries scheduled for towards the end of February 2024.


The new, top-of-the-range Hyper Power X2 turbo diesel engine in the Triton Athlete variant is capable of pumping out 204hp and 470Nm while the Hyper Power engine in the Double Cab churns out 184hp and 430Nm.

The top Triton variants will come with “Diamond Sense” ADAS functions including adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, blind spot warning, lane change assist, rear cross traffic alert, auto high beam and 360-degree camera plus AI-controlled sensors and radars. There are also seven airbags.
Driver assistance features include hill start assist, hill descent control, automatic stability control as well as active limited slip differential.

The triton is the only 4WD truck in the market to come with a 4H full-time function in its Super Select 4WD II system as well as active yaw control (AYC) that helps improve cornering performance. There are seven drive modes to choose from – normal, eco, gravel, snow, mud, sand and rock.

Apart from “My Mitsubishi Connect” remote functions such as turning on the air-conditioner, locking and unlocking doors, switching on headlights and finding the vehicle location, vehicle information such as fuel level, remaining range and tire pressure can also be checked. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is also offered.
