The Mazda CX-6e electric SUV will be launched in Thailand on October 7, according to distributor Mazda Sales Thailand.
The CX-6e, which is the SUV version of the Mazda6e sedan, is also developed under the Changan-Mazda joint venture in China, where it is also produced.
While the official pricing will be announced on October 7, it is expected to be slightly higher than the Mazda6e. Launch promotions and Thai-spec trim levels will also be revealed.
Nevertheless, potential customers can expect some basic specifications such as the 258-horsepower electric motor driving the rear wheels. There’s 290Nm of torque, helping the CX-6e accelerate from 0-100km/h in 7.9 seconds, and the top speed is claimed at 175km/h.
A 77.9kWh LFP battery provides a range of 600kms NEDC. Quick charging from 10-80 per cent takes 24 minutes on a 195kW charger (AC 11kW).
The CX-6e features a “Soulful Futuristic Modern” Kodo design theme, illuminated “Flying Signature” LED grille with charging status light, frameless doors, active electric rear spoiler and 21-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels.
Inside, there’s a 26-inch (26.45″) Ultra-Wide 5K central touchscreen display, 23-speaker premium sound system supporting Dolby Atmos, Virtual 2D Head-Up Display (AR-HUD), ventilated rear seats, panoramic glass roof and 64-color ambient lighting.
