Honda has launched its first EV in Thailand but it’s not for sale.
The Honda e:N1 EV, however, will be rented out through a number of car rental operators as follows:
Krungthai Car Rent and Lease
Sumitomo Mitsui Auto Leasing & Service (Thailand)
Thai V.P. Corporation
Thai ORIX Leasing
Paragon Car Rental
Prime Car Rent
Phatra Leasing
Master Car Rental
Worldclass Rent A Car
Worldbest Corporation
ALD MHC Mobility Services (Thailand)
CH. Pattana Carrent
There will be various rental programs offered. For example, a four-year rental contract would cost Bt29,000 per month (inclusive of maintenance and insurance), but there are also shorter periods offered, including one-day rental.
The e:N1 is powered by a 204-hp electric motor with 310Nm of torque, while its 68.8kWh lithium battery provides a range of 500kms NEDC (393kms WLTP).
Acceleration from 0-100km/h takes 7.7 seconds and the top speed is claimed at 160kmh.
There are some changes compared to the HR-V model, such as the front grille (which is where the charging ports are located), clear-lens tail lights, center console, gear selector buttons, fully-digital driver display and 15-inch center touch screen.
