GWM (Thailand) has discontinued sales of its ORA Good Cat electric car in the Kingdom after selling over 20,000 units since its debut in 2021.
The company says the Good Cat will be replaced by the ORA 5 SUV, which will be launched at the upcoming Bangkok Motorshow in March. Apart from the ORA 5, the Chinese automaker plans to launch at least five new models in Thailand this year.

The Good Cat was the best-selling EV in Thailand in 2022 and is the first EV to be assembled in Thailand as well as the first EV exported from Thailand to global markets.
With new models coming up in 2026, GWM will also expand its nationwide partner stores to over 100 locations across all provinces, strengthening service coverage and delivering enhanced customer care across Thailand.
Meanwhile, Thailand will be the second country in the world after China to receive the ORA 5.
“The ORA 5 SUV is ready to continue the success from GWM ORA Good Cat to a new role of agility and confidence in usage that is even more in the form of SUV car, ready to convey a new design that reflects strength, sleekness, and modernity, together with the outstanding retro identity of the ORA family,” GWM Thailand stated in a press release.
“It has body dimensions that are larger can accommodate diverse usage, increase convenience and comfort in traveling, ready to elevate the driving experience to be fun in every day and every route, both in the city and outside the city, to create a new standard for the SUV market in Thailand completely,” GMW Thailand added.
