Suzuki is the second Japanese auto maker to announce that it will shut down its assembly plant in Thailand, effective from the end of 2025.
In this video we pay tribute to the Thai-made Celerio, which is the most affordable Suzuki you can get, with prices ranging from Bt319,900 to Bt399,900 (USD8,708-10,886).
While the Celerio may not be fully-equipped compared to more expensive cars in the market, this five-door hatchback comes with high versatility and decent handling, while promising good fuel economy thanks to its three-cylinder 1.0-liter engine.
I drove the Celerio GL up, which is a special version from the GL variant that comes with extra matt black aero parts and decals, giving it added sportiness.
