XPeng Thailand has launched the G6 electric SUV that competes not only against the Tesla Model Y, but also other Chinese counterparts and even higher-priced European SUVs.
The 258-hp G6 Standard Range (435kms WLTP) is priced at Bt1,439,000 while the 285-hp G6 Long Range (570kms WLTP) is priced at Bt1,599,000.
Both variants are rear-wheel-drive and can accelerate from 0-100km/h in under seven seconds, before reaching a top speed of 200km/h. Batteries (66kWh to 87.5kWh) can be charged from 10-80 per cent in 20 minutes on a DC quick charger.
The G6 has similar dimensions with the Tesla Model Y (but the roofline is 26mm lower) and come with the same wheelbase of 2,890mm.
Exterior highlights include intelligent LED lighting, frameless doors with pop-up door handles.
The suspension comprises of double wishbones up front and multi-link and the rear, running on SACHS multi-valve shocks and 20-inch wheels mated to 255/45 tires.
Both variants come with a 10.2-inch driver display and a 15-inch center touchscreen along with comprehensive equipment package.
The G6 also features full ADAS package with 12 exterior cameras and ultrasonic sensors, in addition to five HD radars.
