Amidst negative domestic and global factors, Japanese automaker Suzuki says it is ready to compete in the Thai automobile market with its new business plan.
Tadaomi Suzuki, president of Suzuki Motor Thailand Co Ltd, said Suzuki sold 4,245 vehicles in the Kingdom during the first 10 months of this year, while the total market reached 494,938 units.

“The Thai automotive market in 2025 is still facing many challenges from both domestic and international factors,” he said. “Nevertheless, automobiles and SUVs still showed potential growth.”
“The majority of consumers continued to give importance to the pricing and value-worthiness, sensible maintenance pricing, long lasting usage, as well as fuel economization that have now become important factors for each driver when purchasing a new car,” Suzuki added.
Suzuki said the company has full understanding of the Thai automotive market.
“Although we have adjusted our business plan, we are still committed in the selection of high-quality automobiles that fit the lifestyles of Thai consumers. Above all, Suzuki remains dedicated in its efforts to bring forth high quality and value-worthy products, along with high standard after sales services across Thailand,” he said.

Suzuki has completely ceased local production in Thailand and now relies on imported vehicles from Indonesia and Japan.
The Indonesian-made Fronx subcompact SUV is the latest model from Suzuki, and the company expects a high number of orders during the ongoing 2025 Motor Expo.

“The Motor Expo 2025 is considered a vital stage for the automotive industry, as the platform allows everyone to communicate the brand’s innovation and inspiration directly to the consumers. This year, Suzuki will continue to present a variety of models designed for all of types of lifestyle and needs, for all groups of drivers,” Suzuki said.


Suzuki’s highlight at the show is the Fronx subcompact SUV that has just been launched, with prices ranging from Bt689,000 to Bt799,000.
Imported from Indonesia, the Fronx is available with two 1.5-liter engine choices. They consist of the standard K15B and improved K15C engine with mild hybrid technology.
For the month of December, Fronx buyers will receive a Bt3,000 fuel voucher and special discounts for the Suzuki Fronx Maintenance Package.

Meanwhile, the Jimny mini off-roader is being offered with significant price discounts. The Jimny Mono Tone, originally priced at Bt1.76 million, is offered at Bt1.45 million. The Two Tone variant, formerly Bt1.79 million, is now sold for Bt1.48 million.
Other Suzuki models including the Swift, XL7 and Carry also comes with attractive promotions.
