Prices of hybrid-powered Bentley luxury cars in Thailand have been lowered by an average 15 per cent thanks to new excise tax rates taking effect on January 1 this year.

According to an announcement from official importer Bentley Bangkok by AAS Auto Service, the new Continental and new Flying Spur powered by V8 hybrid engines, are bound to a lower 30 per cent excise duty (PHEV with engines larger than 3.0-liters).

As a result, the new Continental’s price has been lowered to Bt18.4 million (down from Bt21.9 million), while price of the new Flying Spur is now Bt16.9 million (down from Bt20.2 million).

“Customers considering purchasing a New Continental GT or New Flying Spur Bentley model will have a great opportunity to take advantage of new tax benefits and lower pricing on these new models,” the company stated. “They will also receive a factory warranty and high-value special offers from Bentley Bangkok.”
