Nissan Motor Thailand has donated an e-POWER hybrid-electric drivetrain system to the Sirindhorn Children and Youth Training Center to support skill enhancement for youth through education and vocational empowerment.
This initiative is a collaboration between Nissan, the Embassy of Japan in Thailand and the Department of Juvenile Observation and Protection. It aims to provide students with hands-on experience and practical skills in advanced automotive technology, enhancing their educational and vocational opportunities.

Takaaki Yanagi, senior vice president of Nissan Thailand, stated, “Our vision is to enrich lives through innovation and contribute positively to the communities we serve and we aim to grow alongside the Thai society.”
He said Nissan firmly believes that providing educational opportunities for youth is one of the most valuable investments.
“We hope this collaboration will help equip young people with essential skills and open doors for them to become a vital part of Thailand’s future,” Yanagi added.
The Nissan e-POWER drivetrain is a hybrid powertrain system that delivers a responsive driving experience, similar to a fully-electric vehicle, without the need for external charging. The technology has already been installed in several of Nissan’s core models in Thailand, including Nissan Kicks e-POWER and Nissan Serena e-POWER, and will continue to be used in future models.

As a modern educational tool, the e-POWER system will allow students to engage directly with cutting-edge technology and stay aligned with evolving electrified automotive powertrain trends in the automotive industry, according to Nissan Thailand.
Since 2014, Nissan has continued to support the Sirindhorn Children and YouthTraining Center by donating a range of engines for educational purposes, including both gasoline and diesel powertrains, and conducting technical workshops for instructors. These efforts have helped instructors deepen their understanding of modern automotive developments, including Nissan’s proprietary e-POWER technology.
This collaboration also highlights the long and close relationship between Japan and Thailand, exemplifying a shared commitment to long-term community development and inclusive growth through education and innovation.
