Chatvithai Tantraporn has been appointed as assistant managing director of MG Sales (Thailand) Co Ltd, effective June 1, 2026. He replaces Pongsak Lertruedeewattanavong, who has been appointed a new management role in a Chinese automotive business group.
According to an announcement from the company, Chatvithai will be responsible for marketing, sales, after sales, dealer management as well as contribute to MG’s strategy in Thailand with MG Sales (Thailand) managing director Xu Yin.

Chatvithai has over 30 years of experience in the Thai automobile market, including high-ranking positions at premium brands, as well as developing ecosystems for electric vehicles.
“With over 30 years of experience in the automotive business, I am confident in MG’s potential – including its products, services, team, and strong dealer network – in reaching the next level in the Thai automobile industry,” Chatvithai said.

“Even though the Thai automotive market is currently highly competitive, on another note, it remains full of appeal and opportunities, especially in the alternative energy vehicle sector,” he added.
Chatvithai said the new energy sector has seen almost double growth this year compared to last year, reflecting a shift in consumer behavior towards greater acceptance of new technologies and innovations.

Over the past 12 years, MG has conducted its business and grown strongly under the leadership of Pongsak. Throughout his tenure, Pongsak has helped lay important foundations for the MG brand, including defining organizational direction, creating new business approaches, and developing efficient management systems.
