It features a 48-volt electrical system, with the integrated starter generator being able to pump out an additional 23 horsepower and 205Nm.

The hybrid powertrain in the 350 e consists of a turbocharged 2.0-liter petrol engine mated to an electric motor to produce a combined 313 horsepower and 550Nm. Also mated to a 9-speed auto, it provides 0-100km/h acceleration in 6.5 seconds.

A 24.5kWh battery allows the 350 e to run in pure EV mode for over 100kms WLTP on a single charge, which takes 30 minutes (0-100 per cent) on a 55kWh DC quick charger and 2.5 hours on an 11kWh AC charger.

Both variants feature AMG body styling and soft-close doors. The 220 d gets LED high-performance headlights with adaptive highbeam, 19-inch wheels and AGILITY CONTROL suspension.

Meanwhile, the 350 e comes with DIGITAL LIGHT with adaptive highbeam plus, panoramic sunroof and 20-inch AMG aero wheels.

Both variants come with the AMG Interior Package, third-generation MBUX with selfie camera, 14.4-inch center superscreen and 12.3-inch front passenger screen, all governed by the latest AI system.
