The Mitsubushi XForce HEV has been crowned the 2025 Thailand Car of the Year while the MG S5 EV was voted as the 2025 Thailand EV of the Year.
The awards were given by the Thai Automotive Journalists Association (TAJA), which also awarded the Yamaha NMAX Tech Max with the 2025 Thailand Motorcycle of the Year crown.

The XForce beat nine other finalists en route to winning the prestigious award. They include the BYD Seal 5 Dmi, Ford Ranger MS-RT, Isuzu D-MAX 2.2 MaxForce, Isuzu Mu-X 2.2 MaxForce, Mazda BT-50 2.2, Nissan Serena S Hybrid, Suzuki Fronx, Toyota Yaris ATIV HEV and Toyota Camry HEV.
In the EV category, other finalists included the BMW iX1L, BYD Sealion 7, Jaecoo 5EV, Mercedes-Benz G580 EV, MG IM6 and Toyota BZ4X.

This is the second time that MG has won the Thailand EV of the Year award, with the MG4 clinching the award in 2023. And in 2024, the MG3 Hybrid won the Thailand Car of the Year award as well.
Other finalists in the motorcycle category were the BMW R1300GSA, Harley-Davidson Street BOB, Honda Wave 125, Honda PCX160 and Yamaha Aerox.
In addition, TAJA also gave away 28 more awards from the 2025 Thailand Car and Motorcycle Marketing Awards (TCMM). Its purpose is to recognize achievements of automotive and motorcycle companies in Thailand in terms of marketing, sales, innovations and automotive technology.
The TCMM is part of the annual Thailand Car of the Year (TCOTY) Award, and this is the fifth year that the prestigious event is being held.
