    Chery Q EV price starts at $14,000

    The Chery Q subcompact EV has been officially launched in Thailand with prices ranging from Bt469,900 to Bt539,900 (US$14,065-16,160).

    Prior to the price reveal, Chery Thailand had already collected over 3,000 pre-orders for the Chery Q. Other Chery models offered in Thailand include the V23 electric SUV and Tiggo 8 PHEV, which drew in more than 11,000 orders during the first half of 2026.

    The Chery Q will initially be imported from China, with local production to commence later this year at Chery Thailand’s Bt5-billion assembly plant in Rayong province.

    The Rayong plant will serve both the domestic and export markets, according to Jim Lee, brand director at Chery Thailand.

    “We are delighted that Thailand has been selected as the first country outside of China to launch the Chery Q’ our latest electric vehicle,” he said. “This model stands out for its excellent value, cutting-edge technology and comprehensive features. We are confident that it will effectively meet the needs of Thai consumers, and we have prepared special offers for customers during the launch period.”

    Chery currently has 55 dealers in Thailand and plans to increase the number of 70 by the end of 2026. A certified both and paint repair centers is being set up around the country, starting in August this year.

    Spare parts inventory is also being upped, with the parts warehouse in Bangna-Trat being expanded from 5,000sqm to 10,000sqm.

    The Chery Q features cute exterior design consisting of a curvy front end with large oval LED headlights and tail lights. The gloss/black exterior garnish adds a sense of modernism and sportiness.

    Meanwhile the “Square and Circle” interior concept is featured through the console and door panels.

    It has a length of 4,195mm and a wheelbase of as much as 2,700mm, ensuring plenty of interior space.

    There’s also a high level of advanced features, including 21-system ADAS package and even automatic parking function, a feature usually offered in higher vehicle segments.

    The electric motor produces 122 horsepower and 115Nm of torque. The top speed of the Chery Q is claimed at 135km/h.

    The Chery Q comes with a 41.2kWh battery providing a range of 400km NEDC (315km WLTP).  Quick charging from 30-80 per cent takes 16 minutes. There’s also V2L (Max 6.6kW) for external appliances.

    Cabin highlights include 15.6-inch center touchscreen, 8.8-in driver display with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, A/C control buttons, floating console with two USB ports, one-touch control for all windows and powered tailgate.

    The Chery Q comes with special features that enhance the fun and privacy of use, such as Quick Gestures, Personalized Wallpaper with up to 8 companion characters to choose from. It also supports the installation of a dashcam via a USB port for added convenience in daily use.

    There’s also an external voice communication system featuring five pre-designed message styles to add fun and a new experience to everyday electric vehicle use.

    Another standout feature is the external communication system via microphone and external loudspeaker, allowing drivers to speak to pedestrians via PA system.
