The GWM WEY G9 plugin hybrid has become the best-selling New Energy MPV in China from January to May this year, the company stated in a press release.
According to GWM, sales of the G9 reached 31,385 units during the first five months of 2026, making it one of the fastest-growing MPVs in China.
The G9 features with Hi4 Technology, GWM’s intelligent 4-wheel drive hybrid platform, combining a gasoline engine with dual electric motors. It also offers an all-electric driving range of up to 170 kilometers NEDC (133km WLTP).
The interior features second-row Zero-Gravity Seats with massage and ventilation functions, as well as premium NAPPA leather upholstery. The G9 also comes with more than 28 intelligent safety and driver-assistance features, alongside the advanced Coffee OS 3.3 intelligent operating system and a range of convenience technologies.
Meanwhile in Thailand, GWM Thailand is offering a special promotion for the G9 during the month of July. The promotion includes two packages (low interest rate and maintenance-oriented) as well as additional benefits for buyers such as free insurance, free home charger and extended warranty (5-year/150,000km for vehicle and 8-year/180,000km for hybrid battery).
Other benefits include 5-year package that includes the following — 24-hour Personal Assistant service, replacement vehicle of the same model in the event of a technical issue covered under warranty conditions, exclusive emergency roadside assistance and Pick-up & Delivery service for scheduled maintenance appointments.
