Nissan has launched the new X-Trail featuring the e-POWER hybrid powertrain and e-4ORCE electric all-wheel-drive control technology.
The turbocharged 3-cylinder 1.5-liter engine in the X-Trail serves as a range extender, while two electric motors (150kW at the front and 100kW at the rear) are responsible for driving the wheels.
This gives the X-Trail an EV-like performance, delivering instantaneous acceleration from standstill. The X-Trail is capable of completing the 0-100km/h dash in slightly over 7 seconds.
In this video the test drive took place at the Yokohama Tire Testing Center, comprising of both wet and dry conditions, including a large skidpad that helped demonstrate the capabilities of the vehicle and electronic AWD system.
Only one variant of the X-Trail is being offered at a price of Bt1,699,000 which is highly competitive considering that it is fully imported from Japan.
There’s a comprehensive equipment list but we will discuss them once we get the X-Trail for a full review opportunity hopefully sometime in 2026.
