MG will launch the IM5 electric sedan at the upcoming Bangkok International Motor Show later this month.
While the price has not been announced, we expect it to lie within the Bt1.4-million range, slightly under the IM6 that was previously introduced.
Power comes from an electric motor pumping out 407 horsepower and 500Nm of torque, propelling the IM5 from rest to 100km/h in 4.9 seconds towards a top speed of 220km/h.
The design of the IM5 is gorgeous, with certain areas featuring strong Porsche vibes, while the interior is highly luxurious, coming with plenty of soft-touch areas as well as high-tech features.
The car is also highly intelligent, and comes with extra driver-assistance features including one-touch iAD, that handles tricky manoeuvres effortlessly including One Touch Park, Pull Out, Reverse and Kerbside Park.
