Thee Permpongpanth, president & CEO of Mazda Sales (Thailand) Co Ltd, said the new facelift model aims to create a fresh, updated feel that better meets the needs of the target audience.

Thee said models from the Mazda’s CX-Series are gaining increasing popularity. “For example, the Mazda CX-8 recorded 102 units sold, the Mazda CX-30 reached 429 units sold, the Mazda CX-5 achieved 329 units sold, marking a 200-per cent growth, the Mazda CX-3, which sold 883 units throughout last year, has already reached 821 units sold in just the first six months of this year, reflecting a 70-per cent growth rate.

“This strong performance reflects the positive customer response, especially from target customers who value the versatility of an SUV and the fun-to-drive character that is central to Mazda’s brand philosophy,” he added.

The CX-3 is powered by a 2.0-liter SKYACTIV-G engine developing 156ps and 204Nm, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with Sport Mode and manual shift mode. Average fuel economy is claimed at 16.4km/liter, and it can also run on E85 gasohol if you can find a station offering this high-alcohol content fuel.

It also comes with a G-Vectoring Control (GVC) system that enhances handling precision and balance.

There are seven exterior colors available for the first three variants — Snowflake White Pearl, Jet Black, Machine Gray, Soul Red Cystal, Polymetal Gray, Platinum Quartz and Aero Gray. The Signature comes with black roof and four exterior colors — Platinum Quartz, Soul Red Crystal, Polymetal Gray and Aero Gray.
