Mercedes-Benz Thailand has just launched the EQS 450 SUV 4MATIC that is priced at Bt5.99 million and will compete against fellow German rivals from Audi, BMW and Porsche.
The locally-assembled EQS comes with a 118kWh battery that will take the 2.8-ton electric SUV 658kms on a single charge.
There are two electric motors that develop a combined 360hp while churning out a whopping 800Nm of torque.
Acceleration from 0-100km/s takes 6.1 seconds while the top speed is claimed at 210km/h.
The front/rear motors also give the EQS SUV off-road capability, although it’s unlikely that owners will take this one out into the wilderness.
There is plenty of high-tech features including the large Hyperscreen that fills up the front console and intelligent safety systems.
Being a Mercedes, there’s a high level of luxury too, with the interior coming with high-quality materials while comfort levels are also up there.
