The Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 is an SUV that promises impressive on-road performance rather than off-road capability, which is fine since no one takes their Mercedes luxury SUV off-roading anyway.
There’s plenty of push from the turbocharged six-cylinder engine plus a started generator that powers the 48V onboard electrical system.
There’s also lots of luxury along with a host of advanced features you’d expect from a Mercedes, but there are also some areas that should be improved.
