Toyota has staged the world premiere of the Hilux Travo-e, its first fully-electric pickup truck, in Bangkok. Price starts at Bt1,491,000 (US$46,111).
In this video we take a closer look at the Travo-e, which is powered by two electric motors producing a combines 196hp. According to Toyota the front otor generates 205Nm while the rear motor is capable of pumping out 268Nm.
The 59.2kWh lithium-ion battery provides a range of 315kms (NEDC). Toyota stated that quick charging is available via a 125kW charger but did not disclose charging times.
While the 2026 Hilux is built on the old IMV2 platform, it boasts updated design both inside and out, with the front end adopting a “Cyber Sumo” concept.
The interior features a new console with large 12.3-inch digital driver display and center touchscreen, as well as panoramic view camera.
The Toyota electric truck also comes with a comprehensive Toyota Safety Sense ADAS package along with all-speed cruise control, five USB-C ports, electronic parking brake as well as electronic gearshifter.
