Thailand’s automobile market in March surged by more than 7 per cent compared to the corresponding month last year, according to figures from Toyota Motor Thailand Co Ltd.
The Japanese automaker stated in a news release that a total of 59,865 vehicles were sold in the Kingdom in March, posing a growth of 7.29 per cent compared to the same period in 2025.
Growth came mainly from the passenger car and SUV segments, with combined sales of 38,810 units representing a 12.03-per cent growth. A total of 13,991 pickup trucks were sold in March, down by 6.36 per cent.
During the first three months of 2026, auto sales reached 182,083 units, equivalent to a growth of 18.86 per cent compared to the same period last year.
Toyota sold a total of 62,196 vehicles in Q1, taking up 34.16 per cent market share and growing by 7.82 per cent compared to the corresponding period in 2025.
Top Toyota models include pickups from the Hilux Travo lineup (19,630 units) as well as eco cars like the Yaris and Yaris ATIV (19,174 units).
Supakorn Ratanawaraha, executive vice president of TMT, said Toyota received a total of 28,580 bookings nationwide during the recent Bangkok International Motor Show.

“All Toyota models are ready for immediate delivery to customers, except for the Land Cruiser FJ, in which deliveries will start from May onwards. We anticipate that Toyota’s sales in April will remain on target,” he said.
