MG saw a 44-per cent increase in year-on-year performance with 35,872 units delivered to both domestic and export markets in 2025, the company.

Da Shen Shen, president of SAIC Motor-CP Co Ltd, said, “MG does not see Thailand as a market merely for product distribution, but we treat Thailand as one of strategic markets for the entire group with core aspects to act proactively like brand development, investments in manufacturing, and continuity in NEVs adoption.”

“Our readiness, responsibilities and commitment are well proven by our 2025 sales performance and the completion of our manufacturing compensation under the government’s EV 3.0 Policy (in December 2025),” he added.

According to Da, MG is determined to yield a lasting growth with Thai automotive industry.

“We are preparing to expand business in 2026 through development of technologies for EVs and Intelligent Mobility systems to match with current industry direction and to enhance MG’s sustainable potential as a spearhead brand of the SAIC Group both in Thailand and global market,” he said.

MG’s success in Thailand also played a part in the SAIC Group’s accomplishments globally. In 2025, SAIC Motor Corporation delivered 4.5 million vehicles globally, posting a growth of 12.3 per cent compared to 2024.

Apart from the 44-per cent sales surge in Thailand, MG sales also grew in Europe to almost 300,000 units (30 per cent increase) and 70,000 units in India (17.8 per cent increase).

Accomplishments in 2025 are well backed by a previously announced strategy of “GLOCAL” by SAIC Motor Corporation to be a global business backbone.

With MG as a key brand, a Global + Local integration concept is being utilized to enhance overseas business operations through product exportation and creation of complete, sustainable automotive ecosystems.

To develop products, present technologies and offer services that are truly cater for customers in each market, the strategy has been applied by as a foundation of MG’s master vision and business outlines for operations in many markets including Thailand.

It also ensures sustainable growth of MG as a brand too. Another accomplishment of SAIC in 2025 can be seen in the automotive category of New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) with 1.643 million units delivered or equivalent to 33.1 per cent increase in YoY sales, a new record for the group.

The brand with an essential role in establishing NEVs in global stage is MG, especially with a global model and a high performer in many markets like the MG4 ELECTRIC.
