MG plans to offer the 2025 MAXUS 9 electric MPV at a much lower price than the previous versions, starting at an estimated Bt1,799,000.
According to distributor MG Sales (Thailand) Co Ltd, deliveries of the 2025 MAXUS 9, available in X, V and PLUS trims, will commence in August this year.


The first e-MPV model from MG comes with a 245-hp electric motor with 350Nm of torque, along with a 90kWh cell-to-pack lithium-ion battery (IP67-rated). The maximum range is claimed at 540kms NEDC (425kms WLTP) per full charge. Charging times are 30 minutes for DC (30-80 per cent) at 120kWh and 8.5 hours for AC (5-100 per cent) at 11kWh. The Plus variant also gets a V2L system providing 6.6kWh of power for various uses.
The MAXUS 9 has a length of 5,270mm, a width of 2.000mm and a height of 1,840mm, running on a 3,200mm wheelbase.

Exterior features include LED lighting, electric sliding doors and powered tailgate. The PLUS variant also gets a light bar connecting the headlights, new 19-inch wheels and front sunroof.



Inside, there’s a double-layer console with wireless charger, synthetic leather seats, 64-color ambient lighting, VIP captain seats with massage, memory and heating/cooling functions (controllable via touchscreen display on armrest), 7-inch driver display, 12.3-inch center screen, audio system with 12 loudspeakers, 9 USB ports, 220V AC adaptor, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto (wireless for Plus trim). The Plus also gets built-in side sunblinds. There’s a comprehensive ADAS package as well.
