Hyundai has launched the locally-assembled IONIQ 5 N Line electric car, priced at Bt1,399,000 for the first 400 units.

The new Hyundai car is assembled at the Hyundai Mobility Manufacturing (Thailand) plant in Samut Prakarn province. The plant has a production capacity of 5,000 units per year.

According to distributor Hyundai Mobility (Thailand) Co Ltd, the new 2026 IONIQ 5 N Line comes with an 84 kWh battery offering a range of up to 591km NEDC (465km WLTP), 800V high-voltage technology supporting Ultra-Fast Charge in 18 minutes, 17 Hyundai SmartSense systems and making its Thailand debut, the Bluelink Connected Car technology that lets users communicate with their car through a smartphone app

The new 2026 IONIQ 5 N Line stands out with sporty 20-inch N Line alloy wheels, a front and rear bumper set, side skirts, rear diffuse, and IONIQ 5 N Line steering wheel.

The spacious cabin is built on a 3-meter wheelbase, with genuine leather seats bearing the N logo, a Vision Roof for a more open feel, a Zero Gravity driver’s seat and a BOSE sound system with External Amplifier and eight speakers.

It combines the IONIQ 5’s strengths in technology, comfort, safety, and quality with the bold, modern character and design of the high-performance IONIQ 5 N,” he said. “It is made for Thai customers who have their own distinctive style and want an EV with a different, head-turning design.”

Jae said the local production reflects reflects Hyundai’s confidence in the Thailand’s potential, “in its people, manufacturing partners, automotive supply chain, and internationally recognized quality standards.”

The IONIQ 5 is produced at seven of Hyundai’s 14 plants worldwide — South Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, India, the United States and Thailand.

The IONIQ 5 N Line variant is also making its debut outside of Korea here in Thailand, he added

“Thailand has therefore become one of Hyundai’s IONIQ 5 assembly bases in its global network, operated by Hyundai Mobility Manufacturing (Thailand) as a base for both EV assembly and high-voltage battery assembly,” Jae added. “Our goal is to deliver fully electric vehicles that Thai customers can trust for quality and safety under the same standards as Hyundai worldwide, while laying the foundation for Thailand to play a key role in Hyundai’s EV business in the future.”
