The first batch of 500 Mazda6e electric cars have arrived Thailand for delivery to customers, according to distributor Mazda Sales Thailand.

The vehicles have arrived Laem Chabang port in Chon Buri, and will be delivered after going through customs and reaching dealerships.

The Mazda6e is imported from China and priced from Bt1,169,000 to Bt1,199,000, with over 3,000 orders have been placed by customers in Thailand.

In terms of design, the new Mazda EV features a Neo Fastback body configuration along with Mazda’s “Kodo – Soul of Motion” Design language.

It comes with a 248-hp electric motor providing 0-100km/h acceleration in 7.8 seconds and a top speed of 175km/h.

The Mazda6e comes with a 77.9kWh LFP battery offering a range of 654km NEDC (514km WLTP), with DC quick charging taking 15 minutes from 30-80 per cent.

The Mazda6e has a length of 4,921mm and a wheelbase of 2,895mm, and comes with a 72-liter frunk.

The interior features a 10.2-inch digital driver display and large 14.6-inch center touchscreen with voice control and Sony 14-speaker audio system. There’s also augmented reality head-up display, bridge-type console and premium Nappa leather and suede upholstery.

The arrival of the All-Electric Mazda6e marks another significant step for Mazda in expanding electric vehicle options for Thai customers. The company has prepared thoroughly in terms of its dealer network, after-sales service, spare parts stock, maintenance, and customer support throughout the ownership period of the electric vehicle.
