Successful sales of the ORA Good Cat during the year-end period have enabled GWM (Thailand) to fulfill requirements of the Thai EV 3.0 scheme.
GWM (Thailand) stated in a press release that during the EV 3.0 program, it imported 9,645 vehicles, resulting in a production obligation of 14,468 units in 2025, all of which have been achieved.

According to GWM, the success stems from vehicle exports to Australia and Brazil starting in April 2025, as well as production and sales of 10,000 ORA Good Cats for the domestic market. In 2025 GWM sold a total of 7,000 Good Cats in Thailand, making it one of the most popular EVs in the market.

“Both export and domestic sales have driven GWM to exceeding regulatory requirements and reinforcing GWM ORA Good Cat as one of the top-selling electric vehicles in the country,” the release stated.

Wayne Zhou, Managing Director of GWM (Thailand), said “GWM would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Thai customers for their unwavering support of the GWM ORA Good Cat over the past four years, as well as our gratitude to the government for advancing the EV 3.0 policy, which has driven a pivotal transformation of Thailand’s electric vehicle industry.”

He said the success regarding the production and sales of the Good Cat not only reaffirms the quality of GWM products but also reflects the deep trust Thai customers place in the GWM brand and its after-sales services.
“In 2026, we will continue to introduce high-quality electric vehicles equipped with advanced driving and safety technologies, along with distinctive design, to Thai consumers — moving decisively toward our ambition of becoming the most trusted Chinese automotive brand in Thailand and the top Chinese brand in after-sales service. We are committed to contribute the strong and sustainable growth of Thailand’s automotive industry.”
