BYD, Changan and Tesla are the most popular EV brands with most mentions and engagement on Thai social media, according to figures compiled by dataxet.
Popularity of EVs have been rising dramatically in Thailand since early 2023, with Chinese-made vehicles enjoying tremendous growth figures, making Thailand the largest market for EVs in the Asean region (according to Reuters).
Using its DXT360 social listening platform, dataxet collected information from November 15 to December 16 last year to analyze the most popular EV brands on Thai social media.

According to consumer feedback, there is a positive attitude in Thailand towards EVs due to the following reasons:
