MG has recently expanded its product lineup in Thailand with the introduction of the VS HEV hybrid crossover that helps the brand fill in the gap within the B-SUV segment.
The VS is basically a luxury version of the ZS (which is offered here in 1.5-liter petrol and EV variants).
The VS is powered by a hybrid system comprising of a 1.5-liter engine and an electric motor mated to an E-CVT delivering a combined output of 177hp and maximum torque of 200Nm to the front wheels.
Two variants are available — D and X priced at Bt854,000 and Bt919,000 respectively.
There’s a large number of exciting features in the VS, including dual widescreen cockpit with two 12.3-inch color display/touchscreen, electronic gearshift, touch panel, double-layer console, panoramic sunroof as well as two types of USB ports.
MG Thailand recently staged a test drive event for the VS HEV at the Pahumthani Speedway where the media were able to try out 0-100kmh acceleration, braking as well as handling of the new model.
