Daimler Commercial Vehicles Thailand (DCVT) has announced strong sales growth for its FUSO brand in Thailand with sales in the heavy-duty truck sector up 36 per cent in 2021 compared to the previous year.
The company stated in a release that the growth was fueled by DCVT sales campaign and promotional activities during 2021, which included bringing back the legendary FUSO FN2527 model that has a strong following among the Thai truck community. This combined with the launch of the new FUSO model TV3340S helped DCVT develop the long haul and cross-border business segments.
FUSO heavy-duty truck success was also evident in strong sales of the FJ 2528RMC model, up 45 per cent in 2021 compared to last year with a total of 123 units sold. Sales of the FZ 4928T model also grew by 36 per cent in 2021 compared to the year before.
In 2021 DCVT encouraged dealers to engage in additional marketing promotions, especially online, to help build customer awareness regarding dealer activities and service offerings. The brand’s increased visibility nationwide helped drive engagement among Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles (MBCV) and FUSO customers via the launch of new communication platforms including MBCV Facebook, FUSO LINE Official Account, and MBCV LINE Official Account.
DCVT also joined hands with Mercedes-Benz Leasing Thailand (MBLT) to offer special retail finance campaigns including zero down payment, low interest rates, and free premium insurance to support customers during the economic downturn caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Starting from the third quarter of 2021 DCVT extended the FUSO warranty from four years/200,000 kilometers to five years/500,000 kilometers to strengthen customer’s trust and confidence in the quality and durability of FUSO products. said Ralf Kraemer, CEO of Daimler Commercial Vehicles Thailand (DCVT).
