Ford has staged the media test drive event for its all-new Ranger pickup truck in Thailand, which is the first market in the world to commence sales of this new model.
I drove the Thai-spec Ranger Double Cab Wildtrak that comes with an updated 2.0-liter bi-turbo diesel engine and 10-speed automatic transmission carried over from the previous generation, but everything else is new.
The new Ranger promises excellent handling and ride comfort, along with high technology and equipment level, leaving competitors a long way behind.
The retail price for this model is Bt1,299,000 (the skid plate costs another Bt5,000).
