Electric motorcycle manufacturer Swag Electric Vehicle (EV) recently opened its first Thailand store in Bangkok at Siam Square One.
Located on level 2, the Swag EV store will offer a range of street-legal electric motorbikes. The company plans to break into the Thai market by introducing two models that have been registered and are licensed to be used in Thailand.
Swag EV executives said the company is committed to become one of the top 2-wheel EV providers in Southeast Asia.
Initially, the brand will introduce two models — Type X and Type S. Both come with removable batteries that can be plugged into any electric socket for charging, taking two hours to be fully charged. The brushless hub-motors are made by Bosch while the detachable 26AH battery in both models are supplied by Samsung. The bikes can cover a distance of 90 kms when fully charged, according to Swag EV. Prices range from Bt62,900 to Bt65,900 (US$2,089 to $2,189).

Janson Chen, director of Swag EV, said, “We look forward to defining urban mobility in Thailand and building a proactive reputation for being sustainable for the new generation.”
Swag EV motorcycles are currently available in Laos, Spain, and Greece and will soon enter Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore.
