Nissan has launched the 2021 Terra “Big Minor Change” in Thailand, featuring all-around improvements including front-rear design, safety and entertainment.

For the 2021 Terra, prices have been set at Bt1,119,000 (US$33,550) for the entry 2.3 E 4WD 7AT, Bt1,449,000 (US$43,444) for the 2.3 VL 2WD 7AT and Bt1,499,000 (US$44,950) for the top 2.3 VL 4WD 7AT.

Exterior highlights include a redesigned front end with higher chromium surfaces than the original version that was first launched three years ago, quad LED headlights that are 34 per cent brighter, new rear end design and 18-inch alloy wheels.

The interior boasts new seats as well as theatre-style layout with auto tumble second-row seats (with remote switch) and powered tailgate with kick sensor.

The 2021 Terra is powered by a 2.3-liter twin-turbo diesel engine developing 190 horsepower and 450Nm, mated to a 7-speed automatic gearbox. The engine is compatible with B7, B10 and B20 diesel fuels.

The 4WD system comes with shift-on-the-fly allowing the driver to switch from 2H to 4H at any speeds under 100km/h. The suspension comprises of double wishbones up front and 5-link at the rear for increased ride comfort.

Intelligent safety includes Emergency Braking, Around View Monitor, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Forward Collision Warning and Driver Alertness Warning. The Intelligent Rear View Mirror displays images from the rear view camera.

There’s also a BOSE sound system along with acoustic glass for the front windshield and front windows, allowing the audio system to perform at its best against exterior noise.

The new 9-inch touchscreen is largest in class, and has a resolution of 1024×768. Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is available, along with voice recognition.

Rear passengers get a bonus for entertainment, with a 11-inch monitor being mounted on the ceiling. There are five USB ports around the cabin, along with a wireless charger at the front console for smartphones and other gadgets.
