Mazda is speeding up delivery of the new Mazda3 to Thai customers, with more than 600 units finding owners within one week of launch, distributor Mazda Sales (Thailand) Co Ltd (MST) announced.
According to MST, customer traffic in Mazda showrooms and test driving activities had surged after the launch of the new model.
Thee Permpongpanth, vice president for marketing and government relations at MST, said the launch of the new Mazda3 had stimulated showroom activities dramatically.
He said during the past two weeks the number of walk-in customers at Mazda showrooms had grown by almost 300 per cent, while the number of customer test drives have shot up by 450 per cent. The new polymetal grey color available exclusively in the 5-door fastback for online sales have also been popular, with 200 registrations made through the internet.
“From customer decision data, we are able to understand what they really want,” he said. “Today customers don’t just see automobiles as a vehicle but also give importance to every little detail in order to get a car that truly reflects their image. This is a great start for the new generation of Mazda in Thailand.”
In September, a total of 631 orders were placed for the Mazda3, an increase of 140 per cent over the previous month.
