Mitsubishi is offering special versions of its Triton pickup truck in an effort to stimulate year-end sales.
They are the Triton Athlete GT 2WD and the Triton Mega Cab Limited Edition, priced at Bt985,000 and Bt647,000 respectively.
The Triton Athlete GT 2WD comes with a sporty black front bumper garnish, black roof, 18-inch black alloy wheels, black rear gate handle and bumper, black door mirrors, black rear styling bar, side steps and ‘ATHLETE’ badge on the tailgate, and ‘ATHLETE’ decal on the sides.
Inside, there are black and orange-accented synthetic leather seats with embroidered ‘Athlete’ logo, plus orange stitching on the steering wheel, shift knob, door inserts and parking brake lever. Orange is also the color of choice for the knee pads, console box lid and floor mats, the latter coming with orange-stitch with embroidered ‘ATHLETE’ logotype.
It’s powered by a 2.4-liter MIVEC turbo diesel engine capable of producing 181hp and 430 Nm, transmitted to the rear black 16-inch alloy wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The Triton Mega Cab Limited Edition also gets similar black theme exterior treatment, plus black overfenders installed by dealer.
It comes with the same 2.4-liter turbo engine with 181hp, but is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Both versions feature a 7-inch touchscreen plus Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
