Although it may sound ridiculous to drive your convertible with the top off during the scorching Thai summer, MINI has introduced the Cooper S Convertible Seaside Edition for those who love to connect with nature.
The special model is available in Caribbean Aqua and Nanuq White that represents the blue sea and white clouds.

“The MINI convertible embodies individual open-air driving pleasure for a day at the seaside, rolling onto the beach and getting a refreshing expansive perspective of the endless horizon,” MINI’s press release stated.
However, temperatures in Thailand easily hit 50 degrees and above every year, and open-air driving may not be a healthy option in extreme heat conditions.

According to MINI, the Seaside Edition has been made available to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the four-seat convertible.
It is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine mated to a dual clutch transmission, capable of producing 192 hp from 5,000-6,000rpm and 280Nm of torque from at 1,350-4,600 rpm. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is claimed in 7.1 seconds and it gets to a top speed of 230 km/h.
The powered soft-top can be opened or closed automatically at speeds of up to 30 km/h.

There are several special exterior and interior treatments given to the special model including decorative strips from the doors to the rear, graphics on the front apron, “Seaside” letterings and “30” numerals.

The MINI Cooper S Convertible Seaside Edition is priced at Bt3,090,000 with MSI Standard. It will be available for booking in a limited run in Thailand via online booking from 18th May 2023 at https://minionlinesales.com/.
