Mazda has introduced the 2022 CX-8 that comes with a slight cosmetic change and a longer equipment list.
The updated model, with Bt20,000 price increase, is now available with Mazda Radar Cruise Control MRCC with Stop & Go function for the first time in Thailand, along with a new gun metallic front grille and 19-inch alloy wheels.

There’s also wireless phone charger, powered sunroof, handsfree power tailgate, as well as powered captain seats featured in the 6-seat variant.
Two new colors are also being offered for 2022 – Platinum Quartz and Polymetal Gray.
The interior features warm silver trim with black leather upholstery or metal wood trim with deep red nappa leather upholstery.
There’s an 8-inch touchscreen with center commander, Mazda Connect and USB ports for the third row passengers.

Two engine choices are available. First is a 2.2-liter diesel with dual-stage turbocharger capable of producing 190hp and 450Nm (17.5km/liter fuel economy). The second is a 2.5-liter petrol engine developing 194hp and 258Nm (13.2km/liter fuel economy).
The CX-8 also come with GVC Plus and i-Activsense intelligent safety package, as well as 360-degree camera.
Retail prices start at Bt1.549 million for the 7-seat 2.5 S and finish at Bt2.199 million for the XDL Exclusive.

Tadashi Miura, president of Mazda Sales (Thailand) Co Ltd, said the CX-8 is Mazda’s flagship model that was unveiled for the time in Thailand in 2019 and it was popular among customers looking for a comfortable Crossover/SUV.
“The positioning of the MAZDA CX-8 was the be the best premium 3-Row Crossover/SUV in the market that was truly developed from a passenger car platform,” he said. “Later in October 2021, further improvements were made by enhancing comfort and safety technology to make the model more complete and we also offered the Exclusive 6-Seat petrol variant with captain seats to fulfill customers’ needs.”
Miura said after three years, there are more than 4,300 units of the CX-8 in Thailand.
“The launch of NEW MAZDA CX-8 today is considered as MAZDA CX-8’s third generation with an aim to strengthen Mazda’s CX-Series family and make this model meet the needs of family customers more precisely. This model has been updated in many aspects such as design, comfort and safety for all trim levels,” he added.
