Chinese commercial vehicles producer Foton is modernizing its product portfolio in Thailand with the launch of five new electric commercial trucks.
Foton have already sold more than 300 trucks in Thailand this year, reflecting a growth of 200 per cent, according to distributor CP Foton Sales Co Ltd.

Kritsana Settharangkul, president of CP Foton Sales Co Ltd, a joint venture between Thailand’s CP Group and Foton Motors of China, said, “Last year when we celebrated our first anniversary in Thailand we also launched commercial vehicles, comprising of buses and trucks, that came with the latest innovations and world-class technologies.

While businesses have been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic, Foton sales have been growing dramatically.
“Despite the Covid-19 situation this year, we still receive the trust from large and small entrepreneurs as well as the government sector,” Kritsana said. “This has given us a 200-per cent sales growth to over 300 units sold.”

“Now is the right time to for us to become the first manufacturer to introduce electric trucks into the market, lifting the local commercial vehicle industry standards with eco-friendly technology, while offering customers lower maintenance cost,” he said.
The new e-truck fleet feature four-, six- and 10-wheel models with 100-458hp electric motor outputs and operating range of 200 to 275 kilometers.
Foton has a total of 20 sales and service centers located around the country.
