American auto maker Ford is freshening up its 2021 Ranger Raptor model with the Raptor X variant, featuring exterior and interior design upgrades.
Wichit Wongwattanakan, managing director, Ford Thailand, said, “As part of the Ford Performance family, the Ranger Raptor X combines upgraded athletic styling with the Raptor’s proven versatility, making it even more intriguing.”

The Ranger Raptor X, priced at Bt1.729 million compared to Bt1.699 million for the standard Raptor, comes with “Over the Top” stripes runs across the bonnet, roof and tailgate along with side body stripes. Matt black finish elements include the front grille, front bumper, door handles, mirror scalps, rear bumper cover, tailgate handle, fender vent and wheel cap. Meanwhile, the alloy wheels are finished in “Ashphalt Black”.

The cabin boasts red contrast stitching on the steering wheel and dash, replacing the original blue stitching of the Ranger Raptor. There are hydrographic and “Black Alley” accents across the dashboard and door cards.

The Raptor X comes with the same powertrain, driving modes, suspension and braking systems, and specially designed tires from the standard Raptor.
Its 2.0-liter bi-turbo diesel engine pumps out 213 horsepower and 500Nm of torque, and is mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox.

It also gets the Terrain Management System (TMS) with six modes, including the ‘Baja’ mode that’s inspired by Mexico’s famous Baja Desert Rally.
The Raptor X runs on Position Sensitive Damping (PSD) shock absorbers exclusively manufactured by FOX and a sophisticated Watt’s linkage rear suspension, as well as BFGoodrich All-Terrain 285/70 R17 KO2 tires.
“With outstanding performance, capability and bolder styling, the new Ford Ranger Raptor X will have strong appeal for high-performance truck enthusiasts, while we continue to offer vehicles that serve wide range of customers’ needs and lifestyles and helps them achieve personal goals and ‘Live the Ranger Life’,” Wichit added.
