CHEVROLET Doesn’t have a new model for this year’s Bangkok International Motor Show, but the American automaker is making sure that it gets the needed attention by upgrading its current product lineup with special accessories and advanced safety features.
Last night Chevrolet unveiled the 2018 Colorado High Country Storm with “Orange Crush” exterior color and “Thunder” accessory pack, in a rooftop event in Bangkok. It will serve as the highlight of the Chevrolet booth at the Bangkok International Motor Show from March 28-April 8 at the Challenger Hall, IMPACT Muangthong Thani.
Piyanuch Chaturaphat, General Director for Sales and Marketing at Chevrolet Thailand, said, “Vehicle personalization is one of the strongest trends in our industry, with aftermarket accessory sales expected to see robust growth for years to come,” she said. “More than 50 percent of Colorado customers in Thailand choose to accessorize their vehicles. Appearance packages such as ‘Thunder’ is just one way our Colorado customers express their personal style – another is with their choice in exterior color, one of the top considerations when purchasing any vehicle.”
The “Thunder” pack includes items such as fender flares, black bowtie front, black bowtie rear, under rail bed liner, side steps, black grill, end gate decal, fuel cover and hood scoop.
In addition, customers can also put their own touch on the interior with orange interior package including: IP insert (orange), transmission shifter bezel, air vent bezels and door trim inserts (orange).
The “Thunder” packs are available separately from the stylish High Country STORM package that already includes: sport bar, 18-inch alloy wheels, hood decal sticker with High Country logo, outside rearview mirror, door handles, tailgate handle, outer belt molding, rear bumper with parking sensors, and STORM body decals – all in black finish.
Piyanuch said Chevrolet will introduce several advanced active safety features on the X-Cab LT Z71 and C-Cab LT Z71 (manual and automatic) models of the Colorado pickup, including Trailer Sway Control (TSC), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-Rolling Protection (ARP), Hill Descent Control (HDC) and Hill Start Assist (HSA).
“The High Country STORM and High Country Colorados continue to offer the most advanced active safety technology package in the class with Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, Front and Rear Parking Assist, and Tire Pressure Monitoring System,” she added.
Last year Chevrolet enjoyed a 32-percent sales growth in Thailand while in the first two months of 2018, sales have grown nearly 18 per cent, driven by outstanding Colorado sales growth of nearly 22 percent across January and February.
