Mazda will stage a live streaming event for the global launch of the new BT-50 pickup truck from Australia on June 17.

The announcement was made on Mazda Australia’s website, with no further information provided.

According to Mazda Sales (Thailand) Co Ltd (MST), the official distributor in Thailand, the BT-50 will be officially launched here within the next few months.

“We can not specify the exact timing yet but it is on its way, ” a source as MST said.

The new Mazda truck is based on the 2020 Isuzu D-MAX, coming with exterior changes and well as minor technical adjustments.

Thailand is the global production hub for a large number of pickup truck manufacturers. Last year Thailand exported over 1 million vehicles, comprising mostly of 1-ton pickup trucks, plus a number of eco cars.
