Despite the ongoing Covid-19 situation, almost 1.2 visitors came this year amidst Covid-19 precautions, while the Motor Expo Online Platform also drew more visitors than expected, with 165,078 viewers watching a total of 314,515 video clips, he said.

“Despite the pandemic that has affected the world economy, automobile sales at the Motor Expo reach a satisfactory level due to the large number of new models being launched along with special promotions,” Kwanchai said, adding that auto sales declined by only 9.9 per cent compared to last year, although motorcycle sales did reflect the economic situation and went down by 31.7 per cent.

Sedans and SUVs were the most popular segment this year, making up 80 per cent of total sales, followed by pickup trucks with 14.5 per cent.
