Chon Buri, Thailand – College student Krit Vasuratna comfortably won the third leg of the Vios One Make Race series at the Bangsaen Thailand Speed Festival here on Sunday.
Krit, a 20-year-old student at the King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, led from start to finish in Division 1, completing the 8-lap race in 18mins 08.149 secs, more than 20 seconds before runner-up Teerapat Eiamjinda, a motorcycle importer and exporter, who crossed the finish line in 18:28.554mins.

The closest battle in this race was between Sunhawat Wongsechareon and Peerakarn Ngernmeesri who crossed the finish line breathing on each other’s necks for sixth and seventh places, clocking 1:43.556mins and 1:43.878mins.
The 10-car race, jointly held with the Toyota Corolla Altis One Make Race fielding 14 cars, was part of the annual Bangsaen Speed Festival, which featured a large collection of high-end races such as the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, TCR Asia and Thailand Series, as well as the Thailand Super Series taken part by Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bentley and Porsche supercars. The temporary street circuit measures 3.7 kilometers in length and consists of a large number of variations ranging from narrow tarmac curves on the hill to flat concrete road along Bangsaen beach.
The Vios Division 2 race also saw a thriller as Clement Leung clinched victory in 2:07.349mins, just half a second ahead of Jerasak Khongphlap, who finished in 20:07.858.

In the Altis One Make Race, Japan’s Kentaro Tsuchitori, driving for the Japanese ADVICS team, took the top honors in a time of 17:12.622mins, defending his line against local businessman Chanyaboot Thanaphasuk who came in second at 17:13.676mins. Tsuchitori’s teammate Kentaro Chiba finished in a distant third position in 17:19.785mins, while Parama Phuangngarm, owner of the Carzanova auto website, lost his P3 qualifying position to the Japanese driver due to gearshift mistakes, and was relegated to fourth place with a time of 17:20.988mins.

In the Vios Lady division, Tanchanok Charoensukawatana (2:10.084) had no problem maintaining her domination, followed by Nisakorn Kulapalanont (2:11.565) and Thippawan Poorayub (2″12.082).
The top 3 finishers in the Revo One Make Race (8 laps) were Chinnawut Laochinchart (17:44.460),Chayaporn Yotha (17:45.460) and Kumpanath Kaewtungmuang (17:47.982).
The next leg of the Toyota Motorsport 2018 will be held in Phuket on September 22-23, also featuring a temporary street circuit, before finishing off at the Buriram circuit in the final leg in October.
